[About K-9 Concepts, Inc.]
[Training Facility]
The training facility is located on three acres. The main building is 5000 square feet with multiple rooms for training and classes. Also at the training center are other buildings used for training to include a barn, house trailer and sheds. Multiple vehicles facilitate both narcotic vehicle searches and patrol traffic stops training. In addition to numerous sedans of different types, there is also a school bus, livestock trailer, camper and trailer rig.

Training is also conducted at a 23 acre abandoned cannery. This facility has numerous warehouses and offices which have been set up for both narcotic training scenarios and patrol building searches.

Additionally, training is conducted at several businesses after work hours. Narcotic vehicle searches are practiced on the highway to expose the dogs to traffic.

To view established teams working on the road, students may ride along with a handler/dog team. For a nominal fee students can stay at the training center in a mobile home with private rooms. It is completely funished with linens, kitchen utensils, refrigerator, stove, microwave, stereo, cable TV and telephone.

There is a small motel in Broussard (one mile from the training center) which offers weekly rates. There is a larger hotel which allows dogs by the Lafayette Airport, seven miles from the training center.
